im 20 .....i have been suffering severe panic attacks and anxiety at random. i have never had these problems before or do i have any stress because i dont really have much. i started taking pain pill a few months ago randomly then it got to be an everday thing this month. i took a half of a oxy 40  usually what i have been taking a day about 40 mg of oxycontin for the past week. but anyways i took it then started not feeling normal like i usually do on them i started having panic attacks while i was out to eat with my parents. its been three days not i stopped taking the meds but im still having anxiety problems. i also have been dieting pretty bad lately seems to help when i eat some food and what not but they just keep coming is this cause by the oxycontin? or do i have a diet problem because i honestly dont feel to bad at all after just stoping taking meds like that . thanks

I am sorry you are having problems with anxiety.  Did your doctor prescribe you this medication for anxiety??  I know anxiety can come out of the blue and cause one to be fearful and confused.  This is what makes this cycle so hard to handle at times.

Have you been to see a therapist at all about this?  Furthermore, oxycontin is EXTREMELY addictive and abused a lot.  Messing around with this can be VERY dangerous and withdrawal effects can definitely cause anxiety. What you need to do is see your doctor ASAP about this and tell him/her what is going on...please keep us posted.
