can anxiety cause one or both ears to feel plugged as if you had a cold and just blew your nose??

on a side note , Advil seems to be a temporary relief when I am going through a few days of the blocked ear syndrome. Funny always in right ear.My ENT is 100% so sure it is my clenching causing the blocked ear but I'm not 100% convinced however I cannot argue with the MRI results being normal.

But so frustrating on days my ear does not feel blocked my anxiety leverl is so normal and on days it feels blocked even on 10mg a day of paxil my anxiety is so heightened.

I'm driving my wife insane but slowly ...

Yes, clenching / bruxism can cause this.

And MRI was normal so apparently it's all caused by my anxiety. 25 yrs of this and I just want to feel normal for a while :)

I have same as you. I bought from the pharmacy a sleepright mouthpiece and find since started wearing it a few weeks ago at least I don't wake up with a sore jaw.

Have an MRI scheduled for October. 14 but my ent already told me after my normal hearing test for a 54 yr old  this week expect MRI to be normal. He can't tell me why my right ear feels blocked.

yes i get that to i also have tmj so in my sleep iam still stressed out i lock my jaw and when wake up ears are plugged its annoying but goes away after a couple hours in the morning

thanks! i actually go see one on mon. i just needed to know if it could infact be my anxiety, cause it got really bad today and i thought i was going to go deaf!!

Yes, I feel the same and I actually made an appt.for an ENT this week,, that's how bad it bothers me. I know how you feel, this anxiety can just about make you feel anything out of the ordinary. You could go to anxietycentre.com there they list a whole range of symptoms caused by anxiety, it's Crazy!!! Hope you feel better.
