question about pristiq

I have been on pristiq for a little over 2 weeks and during that time my depression seemed to have worsen at times but then at times gotten better.  i know that often with medication it can get better before it gets worse...so im still on it...the problem is ive been suicidal a lot these past 2 weeks and i know about the box on the meds that say if you have suicidal feelings you should stop...but before i took the meds i had suicidal feelings too...so i dont know if the medicine just hasnt kicked in or if its causing my suicidal feelings to worsen and i should get off this medication.  any suggestions?  im also not 18 yet and it says that you should be 18 to take this medicine...im 17 so i dont think that part really matters, i just dont know.

if you do some research on Pristiq it has been found that it actually increases thoughts of suicide in adults under 24. so yes this is an effect of the medicine but at the same time i would urge you to talk to your doctor immediatley!
