I quit paxil been taking it for 5 years and I quit cold turkey 5 months ago, and I still get random brain zaps? How long do they last for

Hiya, well to be honest there really isnt an answer, it really all depends on the individual.  There are people on this forum who once quit Paxil have gone on to have problems for yrs, but others only a month or so, so there is no telling.

Some people have actually said that to ease the withdrawal of Paxil or other anti-d's they have taken St.Johns Wort at a lower dose which helps to level them out but i am not saying this is something you should do just something that seems to of helped other people.  

I would recommend that you go back to your doc and have a chat as i know when i was withdrawing from Paxil after 13yrs of taking it i went through hell and my GP prescribed a low dose of diazepam which did help in easing the brain zaps, but i only had a two week course.
