quitting perc/nicotine cause anxiety?

   Hi everybody,
Im a 32 male and ive been smoking for years and ive had a past addiction with marijuana and cocaine. Ive been clean from the coke and weed for over two years. Last october I started to take percocet 3 to 4 days out of the week. I also forgot to mention I suffer from OCD and i am taking klonopin and luvox. Well back to the percocet, I would be taking double the recommended dosage in these days sometimes more or less. In the days I was not taking them I would smoke a half a pack. My father passed away last may and I managed to stop only for two weeks from the percocet. It was a hard time and I have guilt in myself for being high in that time. A little over a month ago I quit both smoking and taking the percocets. Im feeling ok but I do have mood swings and I feel like my ocd is a little worse at times. I hope and suspect its only me still withdrawing from both chemicals.  Is this normal?

I am very careful not to attempt any diagnoses of other forummers.  But I can't help but note you seem to have more going on than just withdrawal from percocet and tobacco.  You also mentioned you're taking klonopin and luvox.  So you really have a complex mix of chemicals you're dealing with.

That said, I've got absolutely no experience with percocet.  But I did quit smoking las year while on klonopin.  I had almost no negative symptoms from the smoking cessation.  Though I did find I was constantly looking for something to do to replace the 'habit' of lighting up... either at home, or while out and about.  So I can understand how that might seem like a bit of OCD.  You're mind wants something to do.  It used to focus on that butt... now it's looking for something else.  Possibility?
