rash on palms after stressful event

by SCAREDTODEATH39, Oct 19, 2007 10:46AM
I have a rash that has appeared on palms a couple of times during the last year. The rash usually stays around two weeks, raised red bumps with white head sometimes. I have been on anxiety meds a couple of different times this year. I have problem with anxiety over possible HIV infection. I tested negative on three occasions 4 weeks 8 weeks and finally 15 weeks. These time frames are conservative estimates the possible exposures could be further out. I use the date that I was exposed to my family for using prostitutes as my baseline to start testing. It has been a year and two months since this happened and I have physically miserable the entire time. Cold sores, sore calves burning skin rash on palms , mouth ulcers. Question I am dying or do you guys think it could somehow be linked to anxiety and stress. I recieved clean bill of health from GP when hell really started OCT 2006.

What kind of testing have you had done? Have you had a cbc or further testing of blood?

i WAS GIVEN A INSURANCE EXAM IN DECEMBER AND RECIEVED A 2 MILLION DOLLAR POLICY. I BELIEVE THEY WERE PRETTY THOROUGH. WHAT IS A CBC?

a complete blood count. I only ask because you were still so worried. Has the doctors ever done a biopsy on rash. Maybe just to see if you might have an allergy or dermatology problem. Anxiety can have so many physical symptoms, but sores in the mouth I have never heard of. Not saying you dont have anxiety. Obviously you said your physical was thorough.

All because you tested clean for HIV doesn't mean that you may not have caught a different STD.  Something treatable.  I would have it biopsied.  It could be a type of fungus...an antibiotic can fix it.  Also, there is such a thing as herpes of the mouth.  By no means am I saying that it is NOT anxiety...it can be related, but get everything else checked out first!
