hey i have had a really top week, but yesterday i went to the races and had chest pains which ruined my day then at the night i drunk way too much and today feel really bad, woke up this mornin with a tight chest and my chest kept going into like a tight spasm every few mins for a few seconds, it was early when i woke and was to scared to go back to sleep incase i didn wake again! so most of the morning i have spent doing my BP and even though it never went higher than 120/93 im still convinced i have had a mild heart attack, i feel terrified and upset. would my BP have been higher if i had suffered a heart attack? im so sick of feeling this terror
It was not a heart attack. These are all symptoms of a panic attack. If you read symptoms of a panic attack most people truly believe they are having a heart attack and are going to die but they are not. I had my first one the other day and I thought I was having a heart attack and I couldn't breath and my chest was hurting but then I started reading symptoms of a panic attack and I had all of them. I think the more you test your blood pressure the more it will go up because you are worrying about it. I went to the doctor just to make sure and they did all kinds of tests and everything came out normal and said this happens all the time. If it would make you feel better to see a doctor and just to get the reassurance then do so. But it sounds to me like you had a panic attack and now have anxiety about it. Hope this helps!
i know all the symptoms but this didn feel like one when i have a panic attack i jus get hot, breathless, shakey (shaky) and tightness not the spasms i felt it was like someone was pulling my heart and chest and then letting go for a few seconds then doing it again. ahhhhhh im so mad with myself i have had the worse day ever and im meant be happy cause its my birthday, i cant even enjoy 1 day i need smash my bp machine i think!!!!
