riding in cars with boys/girls...lol... ANXIETY!!!!

i started getting anxiety while working at a casino as a bar server, well lets just say i had to quit, then the anxiety seemed to dissipate until i got in a car with someone else driving.  I have been hit by a couple cars in my life and been in a couple accidents, and these were many years ago.  I know that anxiety runs in my family on my mothers side in her sisters (my aunts).  But i want to know what i can do to help me, there are times i almost get an anxiety attack while driving myself, its getting to the point to where i dont want to drive anywhere.  when the anxiety hits, my heart races, i start to sweat, i get flushed and i want to start crying uncontrollably.  im afraid to tell anyone for fear of them thinking im crazy... what should i do?

Avoid meds! It is a ** * *** to get off them. Withdrawal...
Therapy is very effective in helping with this kind of anxiety.

Hi, I can relate to those feelings.  I've never been in a bad accident, but I can say that when my anxiety was at its worst, I was pretty much terrified of riding with other drivers.  I guess it was just because I wasn't in control, I don't know.  Anyway, have you seen a doctor or therapist about this?  Medicines would possibly help you with your anxiety, but given your past experiences with cars, I think therapy would be a big help in getting over the fears you have.  Hope this helps!
