sexual side affects from Anxiety Medications

I recently started taking 50Mg of zoloft for anxiety, i have noticed and instant change not in my sexual drive but in my ability to reach orgasm.  I am a female in my mid 30's and prior to now have been able to reach orgasm very easy and at almost every sexual encounter iwth my partner.  Is this normal, is it an ongoing issue as long as i am taking the zoloft?  willd ecreasing my dosage to 25Mg have any affect or are there any herbal organic options i can try to help alleviate this issue? I've seen a deifference in my anxiety level but not having a fufilling sex life is going to cause issues in other aspects of my life.

cnote is spot on when he says that many of the antidepressants out there can affect sexual function. Under the side effects for Zoloft on the endocrine system, it states only "male sexual dysfunction."
Do we believe everthing we read?
Again, as cnote stated, this is something you need to bring to your doctors attention.
I take Zoloft and have not experience any sort of sexual dysfunction, but we always, always state on this forum that we are all different and we all react differently to medication.
I wish you the best

This is one of the more common side effects of SSRI's. I'm a male, and I have the same issue, I was taking 10mg of Lexapro and I could get aroused, but took everything in the world to have an orgasm. It was tiresome. To the point where I just didnt wanna try and have sex.

The good news is, I think there is something your Dr. can give you to counter that? Maybe not? I know the Dr can give males something to counter that with their SSRI's.

Just talk to your Dr. about it. Good luck to ya.
