My grandmother and I were talking, And she brought up cancer and how people JUST get it no matter what they do...Im a healthy person, I dont eat meat I take vitamens, dont drink,smoke or do any drugs....Now Im alittle scared  leading a healthy life isnt enough... :/

It is not very easy but we have to live life one day at a time.  Enjoy each day for what it is and not ruin that day worrying about what may happen tomorrow.  I'm a major worrier.. so I shouldn't be giving this advice.   Don't make yourself sick worrying about being sick. It becomes a downward spiral..   Take time to 'smell the roses'.. when you find yourself worrying do something you enjoy, no matter how  small a thing that may be.  i do things that occupy my mind and take my mind off of myself.  It's hard sometimes but it helps.

i can tell you to worry is to make yourself sick.  did you know worrying can cause cancer because it makes your cells different. so dont worry until you need to.

worry can cause many things to go wrong like . i went to dr 3 weeks ago had high bp. so they had me do a echo and 24 hour bp monitor just got back from my cardio dr today this is what the test showed

echo of heart was perfect no big walls or values  my 24 hour monitor showed i had low bp it was not high at all. but last week when i would worry about my bp guess what it got high one day so high i took a ativan to bring it down all because i was worried.
i took it before i went to dr it was 127/70 when i got to dr she took it it was 150/90 way high. she told me it was worry over having it took. i came home after a hour took it its 99/55 i donot have bp problems but because i thought i did and stressed and anxiety over it i did have it , i even had chest pains with it.  thats what worring does it causes you to have it.   so try and relax you have not been told you have cancer , chances are since you eat right and live good your ok and hope never have to worry about it.

Your grandmother is right, people can "just get" cancer and hundreds of other terrible diseases. That is simply a sad fact of life. But you can do much to prevent yourself from getting sick and you named quite a few. Eat good healthy food, get lots of exercise and fresh air, don't smoke and if you ever drink, do so in moderation, don't do drugs, get regular physical check ups, do things that make you happy, surround yourself with famiy and friends and include lots of fun and time to relax in your daily life, work hard on cultivating a more positive outlook on life. We all worry about things, that, too, is a part of life, but we can let worry get out of control, and then it becomes unhealthy.
None of us knows what the future may hold for us, but if we worry about it, we will lose the joy of the only thing we have, which is TODAY.
