Is anyone aware of treatments ot practices that help eliminate or reduce
troubling dreams?

You ever try to understand your dreams. What dreams are? Maybe a bit of reading up on them might help you out. And it would cost nothing. Nightmares we all have. But they scare some people more than others. When we sleep everything we done during the day comes out in the form of a dream. Sorting itself out. Things we need to keep and things we can get rid of. Bit like a filing cabinet. But add to that our fears. Anything that might be on our minds. And you have most of the makeup of our night's dreaming. There is also the latent dream content. That is just mummble jumble. Doesn't have anything to do with us at all. That is the part that might turn your dream into a story like image. So you wake up and you remember something like a film sequence of events. Shrinks actually love to try and get at our subconscious thoughts. Because if we can change that we can change how we think. Hence learning to understand your dreams might help you come the end of the day. We all need to dream. It is a must. There is no escaping that fact. You could try influence your dreams with some scents or sounds. That can work. Medication wise I am unsure of. Just that I love my dreams. The good and the bad ones. I understand them for what they are. And trust me I dream of somethings that others would hate to dream of. Side effect of some medication I am on. But I love it. I love my sleep.
