switching the time of my meds??

i have been on a low dose of zoloft (25mg) for 12 days now. i have trouble falling asleep so i dpnt go to bed until at least 4am. because of that i dont get up until about 1pm and thats when i take my zoloft. i was wondering if i could switch my pills to an earlier time. like maybe 11am or noon. is this really going to hurt anything if i do this??

well...you shouldn't really move around the times you take it very much without talking to your doctor. it's a good idea to take it at the same time every day...but in my experience it's always been best for me to take them one hour before bed.... at 9:00 pm every night. it really does help me go to sleep....but it's effects last all day long. that is to say that if you take it at night...it doesn't wear off during the day. it doesn't keep you tired all day, but it still does its job....so really whatever time you end up deciding to take your meds won't make any difference other than convenience...just as long as you take them about the same time. but again...i'd run it by your doctor first if you do change when you take it.

why do you take it in the morning? i'd rather be taking it at night since it helps you fall asleep.

You can take zoloft night or mornings but if you been taken it at night you might need to talk to your Doc about switching to Mornings before you just switch on your own...
