the last six months of hell

my son is 25 and has depression and anxiety for a five-six month stretch. he lives in phoenix az and i am in new york. how can he find a good therapist who will see him immediately?

There not really many tricks to it. If he has a primary physician, he should ask them to refer him to a therapist. He could explain his issues to his GP and they could refer based on that. Tell him to look for psychiatrist not a psychologist. It sounds like he might need some medications, and a psychologist cannot prescribe.
