Thanks for the reply,I'll try to decribe in further detail without making it a long story.I first posted back in Jan of 2008 about head pulses followed by a hot flash.Started when I lost a close friend(brain tumour) it was very traumatic.Started to think I had the same thing. Went to see the doc, says it has to do with the sad experience that has caused my condition. Been on Effexor 75 mg for a year, lately trying to ween off with 37.5 mg.Head pulses still come once in a while, but the warm flashes are coming back.I have been getting them 3-5 times a day for the last 2 weeks.Work has also been stressful, lately(deal with general public) The warm flashes only happens when I have fearful thoughts. It comes on with or without head pulses(above left temple) Thinking it's all in my mind.I do get some good days when I'm pre-occupied with family and friends or doing physical activities. These flashes don't appear at all. So when they do appear,it freaks me out ! the vicious cycle starts again. Is it time to get a second opinion or a shrink?
Smallest question I have ever seen posted. But the answer is yes. It can do. It can work both ways. Can feel hot or cold. The blood rushes to the parts of the body where it is needed most of all once it senses danger brought on by anxiety attacks. I mean there is no danger. It is the mind picking up on the signal of what we see as danger. So it can can cause us to feel a little hot every so often. Works the same as it is would with females. No difference at all.
