weaned off lexapro!

hey all I have a question i weaned off lexapro slowly from 20 mg for 10 days to 15 mg for 10 days to 10 mg for 10 days to 5 mg for 10 days this is my first week off completely. I just have this slight numbing sensation in my hands and fingers and toes from time to time and wondered if anyone had any input that weaned off this drug. I hope all is well

I have never been on Lexapro - altho my doc just gave me a script for it, but haven't started it yet.  When I got off my last SSRI (Zoloft), I had the withdrawals for a few weeks.  It's an awful feeling going off these meds, with the "brain zaps", dizziness, numbness!!!!  Don't worry in time the feelings will go away!!!!

I always get tingling in my arms, hands and fingers when weaning off an SSRI.  I also get it when I start one.
