weird surges

Hi this last few weeks, i have had like is only what i can describe as anxiety surges, i might be standing making breakfast and wham, i need to grab hold of the bench. Feel heady i wont be even thinking about anything or panicky. That i am aware off, they are starting to really freak me out to the point of not wanting to go out anywhere, incase one hits.What is it any ideas? thanks

You're having panic attacks, which do just hit out of no where.  It's the "fight or flight" signaling our brains to flood our bodies with adrenaline so we can fight.  But it's coming at the wrong time.....normal response when not needed.  Because this adrenaline rush has nothing to work on, it results in a panic attack. The best thing you can do is some type of exercise to give the adrenaline something to work on.  Therapy is needed to find out what is causing this, although it's caused by anxiety (even though we don't feel anxious) the anxiety has a root cause.  Normally something traumatic that has happened to you which you think you have dealt with, or forgot about.  But when we truly don't deal with something it will manifest itself in a manner to get our attention, usually with anxiety, panic attacks and/or depression.  Panic attacks can keep you paralyzed with fear as we often don't know when one will hit, and resolve ourselves to staying in the house.  But there is a lot of help for this thru therapy and medication. See a psychiatrist regarding this and not your GP. You will get this under control.  Good luck and tale care.
