worry about breath

by starshadow, Jun 14, 2007 12:00AM
last month i got one panic attack.

after that, I worried my breathing all the time. i am thinking about my breathing whole day even at work. I always feel i can't have enough breath. I mean don't have enough air. I have to take the medicine to relax myself and not focus on this thought. I am on avitan now, i only take 0.5mg once a day. but will i have dependency on this medicine if i keep on doing it?

Is there anything else i can do to take away my thoughts from thinking about breathing?

thanks in advance

Hi i have this problem to but only when i think about it. Basically you have to relax. As long as your breathing your fine. If you had any organic problems with your breathing it would be accompanied by pain and wheezing etc, so its just anxiety. Manual breathing can exhaust you tho as it takes more effort.

thanks for the reply.

the hard thing is take my mind away from it. I keep on thinking about it until i had the pill.

I know i don't have problem with breathing but .. i don't know how to control my thought.

i read some post and try to breath right way.  slow and short breath, but what is that mean breath from abdomin (abdomen)?  i can never do it. when i breath my chest move up and down. I feel so tired after breath like that.
