xanax to valium

if xanax is not working is it worth trying valium or are they not similar.  my rx for xanax is 6mg a day, it just doesn't seem to be doing the job

How long have you been on the xanex?  Valium is totally different.  I tried valium to get off of the xanex, but the valium didn't work at all, but the xanex does.  Perhaps valium might work better for you.  Just don't stop 6 mg of xanex all at once because there is a risk of seizures if you stop abruptly.

listen all benzos are bad...xanex is one of the worst and according to the xanex website 14mgs= death...the average dose is from l mg-2mg as needed....but unfortuetlly we have doctors out there that pay themselves through medschool or they have no idea what there prescribing anyways.......im prescribed to 10mg lexapro, 60mgs(twice a day) of amphetamine salts(adderall (adderrall)), and 1mg xanex (four times a day)

now it doesnt take a rocket scientist to figure out that amphetampines give you anxiety like crazy.......not to mentchion the toll it takes on the brain  and body but   im not takin the adderall (adderrall) anymore becuase it made me crazy.......i still feel the anxiety from it.....
my doctor must think uppers and downers are a good combo..lol

whatever but anyways 4mgs xanex knocks me off my *** and makes me so unproductive its unbelieveable but i want to taper off as quick as possible but no one is tellin me how......i try not to take all 4mgs.....but sometimes life ends up in a bad predicament like a family death and i find myself taking them all at once or even more than four.........there addicting....kinda give u a drunk feeling....valium puts you to sleep....or makes u yawn alot more anyways....with not such a euphoric feeling....but try klonpin...the halflife is double as long.......you wont feel so up and then down and then up and down....my doc wont switch me though he thinks im selling them and he told me i was gonna die of seziure.......doctors dont give a hell about our health....for the record...$$ (but yet he gives me refiills)  idk man 6mgs is like wicked high.......u need to chill...im amsuming 3 bars a day is the way its givin to u....there is no magic pill man....not even xanex bars....its a drug designed not to be taken ever day...u build tollerence days---or weeks after consective high doses like that...thats why its not workin...and ur tolerence to xanex creates tolerence to all other benzos too...as well as aitvan, kpins, valiums     blah blah blah.....benzos suck suck...suck...im throwin up....
