zoloft & Clonazepam

by bags11, May 29, 2008 09:46AM
I'm taking 25mgs of Zoloft at bedtime and .25mgs of Clonazepam twice a day. Just started the Zoloft (4 days)   when I wake my stomach is like I have butterflies. How long will it take for this to stop in the mornings or will it. I would like to start backing off of the Clonazepam and only take it if I have a panic attack. When I take the .25 of clonazepam it makes me feel real drowsy. Is this normal while taking both meds? How long should I give the Zoloft to work?

Clonazepam will tend to make you sleepy, how long have you been taking it?  It's also more for daily maintenance and not really on an "as needed" basis because of the length of time it takes for you to feel the affects.  If you wanted something to take only as needed, a different benzo with a quicker onset and shorter period of effectiveness (xanax, ativan) would probably be better for you.
