zoloft

if you are on 100 mg aday and you took it 50 am 50 pm how would this affect the medicine

I not one that has a lot of trouble sleeping but sometimes i still get anxiety during the day
so I was wondering if anyone had tried it this way
this is my only med
my mother takes hers twice daily but she is on othe rmeds also

zoloft should be takin in the evening? lol i been takin it every morning, i hope i havent been takin it wrong all this time

generally it's taken as one dose in the evening. obviously you should do as your doctor instructs...but most doctors will say that splitting the dose isn't necessary. generally taking it before bed produces a sedating effect, which is good for people with anxiety disorders. a lot of times, we aren't the best sleepers.

I am not really sure.  Did your doctor tell you split the dosage during the day?  I actually prefer Zoloft, but everyone is different.  Remember, that it can take your body a good couple of weeks to adjust to the medication.
