Cervical Mucus/Mucus Plug at 14 weeks!? Please Read!

Warning, this may be gross/tmi:

The other day, I was out of state that is why I am just posting now...I went to the bathroom and when I whiped, a 2 inch long glob of cm was present...it literally looked like something that could have come out of my nose...not my vagina!  It wasn't clear, it was like a yellowy color mixed with some clear (not bright yellow)...I carefully inspected it and there was no blood or anything that I thought could have been blood BUT it just freaked me out...do you think it could have come from my mucous plug?  It was really snot-like and I have never had cm like that!

Any responses or personal experiences would be very helpful, I'd call my doc over everything because I am a worrier but I dont want to drive him crazy so I like to see what you all think/say =)

I have that on and off. But mine is a yellowish green! Like snot. Ive been told its the mucus plug colors too from on here. but its also a sign of an infection which isnt a big deal if you get it taken care of. When you start having contractions then id worry. But if you dont within a few days and your cervix is closed. Your going to be fine. You'll know when you are miscarrying or going into labor. Im 14 weeks friday. Look up yeast infections or vaginal infections and alot saying stringy type discharge with or without odor, regular color,yellow, or green or cottage like discharge. But call your doc to make sure. Let me know what happened. :)

When you are pregnant you get alot more cm, it is there to make sure you stay clean, and keeps bacteriea away from the cervix.  Do a google search on cm during pregnancy and you will get alot of info, it doesn't sound like you have anything to worry about, I'm sure it wasn't your plug.

Thanks ladies...I'm just trying to get as many ideas as possible...I googled for at least an hour and had to stop because it was frightening me with things like miscarriage etc.  My obgyn opens at 8:00a.m. so I'm going to call first thing.  My mom and husband were ready to take me to the ER tonight!

Went to the ob today...all is well!  No infection or problem...just normal pregnancy discharge.  Also, got to hear the baby's heartbeat =)
