I am a friend of an avm survivor. She is 45 old female, diagnosed her avm 3 years ago. Her avm is 23 mm in diameter and makes pressure on spinal cord at the back of her head where nerves for breathing control and heart are situated. There is an edema 5cm on this part. Please tell me if there are risks for her of having sexual intercorse due to higher blood pressure afterwards. Her heart bites are very irregular and about 100 when taking no medications and about 90 after takin concor. Thank you!

No problem. The pressure can cause an elevated risk, so if she can avoid plane rides, it might be better. The high elevation would increase blood pressure, which you wouldn't want.

One more question please. If anyone knows about risks of long jorneys up to 24 hours by coach. Is a plane better alternative? Can pressure in it worsen or cause bleeding? Thanks!!!!!!!!!

Yes, it can cause a risk to her if she has sex. Any time she does something that causes her blood pressure to rise, such as sex, strenuous exercise, stress, etc., it can increase her risk for something bad to happen. Though because she is on medication, that should definitely help and as long as she keeps on top of her blood pressure, checking it periodically, she should be fine to do other activities. If she is up for sex and knows her risks, then she can decide if she wants to or not.
