Palindromic Rheumatism

I've been seeing a Rheumatologist for not too long now and in 2 consecutive blood tests, i have come up positive for ANA. My Dr. told me that this could be lupus but doesn't seem too worried about it. should I be worried?   Also, based on my blood work and symptoms, he said that it looks like i might have palindromic rheumatoid artheritis and that this type of antheritis can evolve into either rheumatoid artheritis or systemic lupus erythematosus. Is this common?

Dear Apar,
Positive ANA means some sort of Autoimmune disease is present in your body. But no need to be afraid or scared of it.Even if it manifests as  RA or SLE, the management of these conditions depends on the speed with which these conditions manifests or progress.
So till now we have to follow the wait and watch policyand as some symptoms appear, we need to fight it.
Keep us posted,
Regards
