High ESR value 40 and skin disease

by dipanjan2009, Aug 25, 2009 10:36AM
My mother is 75 years old and has chronic osteoarthritis in both knees. The legs have curved a little. Recently she has developed a type of skin disease on foot, where the skin has become scaly, blackish and  blood used to ooze out when itched. it is becoming increasingly painful. The recent blood test shows a ESR value of 40, Hb slightly low, 10, and eosino, baso, and mono are also slightly low. She does not have blood sugar.

I am highly anxious about her condition. Can anybody help me?

I wish I could help but this is beyond my knowledge.  What is her doctor saying?  You might want to try posting in the Arthritis Expert Forum or trying the symptom checker.  I hope she feels better soon.
