AS and Sacrolitis
Hi All,

I have Ankylosing Spondylitis and Sacrolitis (which apparently pretty much go hand in hand)
I keep forgetting to ask my DR if the Sacrolitis part EVER goes away or is that a Chronic condition such as the AS.
Does anyone know if it goes away?? I cont to have flare ups with the Sacro. I will run a fever just a tad over 100 degrees when the flare ups coming. I know I usually take a steriod during those times, but is that it? Does it other-
wise have no cure?
Thanks in advance for any help!

Hey Jul!

Sacroiliitis is a common association of ankylosing spondylitis and may respond to treatment and improve, though it usually tends to be as chronic as the primary condition/ spondyloarthropathy.
Hope this information is useful.

Take care!
