Burning Pain

I have a burning pain to the left of spinal column right next to the left shoulder blade in the rib area . It flares up when I am on the computer or repitious work using my left arm in a lifting motion. I have never been injured there before. What could be causing this?

repetetive stress injury of the trapezius muscle could be a reason, or simply a strain of that muscle.  it's important to be evaluated so it doesn't become a frozen shoulder
