Calcium deposits in wrist

I know someone who has calcium deposits in  her wrist. She has to have surgery to get somethingout, but She's really worried. What are some stuff she can do to help reduce the pain. ANd what is some advice I can give her (etc: diet, rest...)

Sorry someone you care about has to have surgery.  The most important thing to do with any surgery is to listen to and follow the doctors instructions for post-surgery limitations.  Getting lots of rest, drinking lots of water and taking the pain meds your are prescribed help too.
