Clicking Finger Joint
Hi,
I'm 15 and have been playing guitar for 3 years, of which I have never realized any problems with my fingers. But as of a few weeks the top joint ( furthest from the knuckle ) of my ring finger on my left hand has been clicking quite loudly and sometimes sticking in a certain position, where it will under pressure click back 'into place'.
It is not painful but the clicking is very annoying and I am concerned whether it may be the cartilage and thus could lead to athritis or loss of mobility within the joint. As I play guitar daily this would be disasterous to me.
Any help greatly appreciated, regards
Morgan

Have you tried resting your finger for a few days?  Try it and if it does not get better see the doctor.  You could have a tendonitis or something else going on in there.
