Combined Pain Relief

I have recently been Prescribed Tramadol ( Zydol ) 50mg for Chronic Arthritic pain I wondered if anyone could tell me if I can take Paraceatamol or Ibuprofen at the same time ....... I am currently only taking 50mg of Tramadol every 4 hours but it isn't really doing much by itself for the pain.

Thank You in advance

Good advice from Babs!  You can also call your pharmacist and ask them about combining medications.

Hey I would think it would depend upon the amount of ibuprofen or acetaminifin (sp) or other nsaid that is in the tramadol. Too often there is so much other stuff in a pain med that is dangerous to the liver. Obviously you need to talk to your doctor. I was having so much pain from my psoriatic arthritis that I now see a pain management doctor in combination with my rheumatologist and I get cortisone shots as well as extended releif and breakthrough pain meds. There is a great Chronic Pain forum on here (medhelp) I post there as well and have gotten some great advice too. Best of luck in whatever you decide and I hope you are as pain free as possible as soon as possible. so sorry for the mis -spelled words and typos. My fingers feel like cement and broken glass at the same time.
