Confused

My doctor did a MRI on my back and the result was arthritis in my spine. He did not tell me what kind. Also he said i have arthritis in both my si joints. This has just been a recent diagnosis. Also i have had fibromyalgia for the last 6 years and i am on disability.
My question is: Should i be more in depth in asking my doctor questions? He gives me pain injections but i do not know if it is cortizone or lidacane.
Please help, this is new to me. Thanks

BeaAnn

Absolutely!  In this day and age we can't just follow along with everything our doctor's say.  You must know what kind of arthritis and what treatment plan he has in mind and exactly what drugs are going into your body.  It really makes a difference in treatment based on what type it is.  Please come back and let us know.  You are also entitled to copies of your patient file and test results.  Has he run blood tests?  It would be valuable if you could post the results for us.
