Finally another doc taking my case too

I wrote a little while back about my new Rheumy doc finally telling me what is wrong with me and now I have a Lyme specialist doc I do reports for that is concerned about Lymes. Finally! someone thinks that too. I have always wondered this, but no one would check me since I couldn't recall a bite. This doc faxed me the scripts and told me to have them done at Labcorp and see what the results say. He is doing this all for me for free! I can not thank him enough for all has has done already. He is in Florida and I am in NC. He thinks that I have Lymes and that the RA and Sjogrens were brought on by this. I just wanted to update everyone on things. I haven't had time to post in a while. It is cold and snowed here 2 days ago and it is hurting me so bad. I hope everyone is doing well. Take care and thanks for listening!

If you got a positive test for LYME you have Lyme.  Do you know how hard it is to get a positive test, even if you have it? Believe me these doctors do not want to admit it.  They just want to treat you for what is their specialty.  I have had negative test.  But I still know I have it.  I had the bite and the circle rash and right after that all my joints went out.  I don't think RA comes on this fast!  I sympathize with both of us!

Well, I got the results back from the Lyme doc and he said I have Lymes, then I went to the Rheumy doc and he says no way! He ran the Elisa test and it was negative.I am so confused. I am still waiting on someone to tell me what to do. My CD57 was 16 which is very low and my C4a was 3880 way too high. I think the normal for CD57 is 200 or higher and the C4a should be under 1600. I might not have Lymes, maybe my methotrexate is causing the low CD57 and the high C4 is from inflammation from RA and Sjogrens.

I have been away with a broken computer :(  Sorry to ready you are in flare.  I understand what you mean about needing help and having it affect your work.  We just have to do the best we can, that is all we can do.  Hopefully your coworkers understand.  It is a blessing to still be able to work, but it presents a lot of challenges, too.  Hang in there and know that I can't wait to hear more.  :)

I wish this would just all go away! I am struggling at work and have to ask for help. It is so embarrassing. Thanks for all the kind words.

Oh Sweetie, this is great news!!!  There are great Dr's left in the world!!!  I'm sorry this is quick but I wanted to tell you I'm happy that they are looking further into the Lyme thing.  I have heard a lot about Lyme disease, its even an MS mimic.  I am happy for you, Sweetie!!!

Many Hugs,
