I have been installing a hardwood floor over the last two days and today I noticed my left index finger is having trouble applying pressure. It feels strange and I will assume the nerve is strained and needs time to heal. I just turned 50 and I think that doesn't help.
This could be muscular fatigue or could also indicate injuries to the tendons/ nerve/ bones/ joints. I would suggest giving it rest for a day or two and then re-assessing the situation. If you still have trouble, you may consider visiting a primary care physician initially and depending on the diagnosis made/ suspected, it can be managed accordingly or specialist care may be sought.
Hope this helps.
