Meloxicam vs otc NSAIDs

My platelet count is low. I have severe sciatica and was told to discontinue use of all Acetaminophen, Aleve, Ibuprofen, Aspirin. You gotta be kidding.....

I do have meloxicam on hand.

Thinking maybe one meloxicam with a dose later in the day of hydrocodone 7.5/500 acet and soma at bedtime

Anyone have advice?
And I do not know the platelet count. I did ask on a return phone call to the nurse....no reply in 2 days.
Can't be too low I don't think, I've never had this happen. I did just get over a sinus infection which I had when lab took blood.

Thank you for the reply. My nurse has still never returned my call from Thursday. I wondered that too since it's not an NSAID....
I did start b-12 and D. Hope the B12 gives us a boost.

NSAIDs reduce the effectiveness of platelets, so ibuprofen, aspirin, and naproxen are out. But acetaminophen has no effect on platelets, so I wonder why the warning?
