Methatrexate or alternative

by Joan007, Nov 06, 2008 03:08AM
I have been taking 12.5mg methatrexate per week for about 4 years. Is it ever recommended to switch to Enbrel? In what circumstance? I do quite a lot of excercise and think that may account for my mobility and that doctors say that I am an exeptional case - following 15 years of RA - almost solely in my wrists (one operation) and hands.

This discussion is related to Enbrel & headaches.

Hi there.  My two cents, if you are doing well on MTX, there is no point in switching to Enbrel.  The biologics are great if nothing else helps you but since you are doing so well, stay with what works.  May your good fortune continue!
