My turn now...

I just wanted to throw my story out. All my family, including kids, had different kind of low back pain issues. My dad uses regular back support belt, my husband literally lives in snogg belt, my kids have some belts too. They all are having great results from using their waist belts. Now it's my turn. Last two days were agony, my low back was killing me. Doctor is away for 2 weeks, and now I have the choices that family have - I need to try those belts to see what will it work for me...

also, have you checked out a Dermatome Map? They show what parts of your spine effect what parts of the body. You won't know for sure what's going on until you have some diagnostic tests. It might not even be your spine causing all the symptoms but I always find it interesting to look at the map.

OK, good luck with that, but you may find a more permanent solution in weight reduction and strengthening your core abdominal muscles.

Carrying extra weight around the middle, along with weak abdominals stresses the large muscles of the lower back.

If you search "core strength exercise" or something similar, you'll find lots of examples of how this is done.

Best wishes.
