There is a herb called kratom that is being studied to help narcotic addiction. Kratom has a slight opiate feel but isn't as strong as opium and the chemical make up is very different. Kratom withdrawal is way less severe, might help with narcotic withdrawal symptoms.

Thank you for your response. I'm brand new on this website so I hope I get more suggestions. An herb would be ideal because I certainly don't need ANOTHER PHARMACEUTICAL drug.

You might want to try posting this on the Pain Management Community here at MedHelp. The members there have a lot of experience in this area.
