Neck clicking sound on turning

Hello,

I am 36 year old male with no accidents or trauma.
since 3 weeks, I have strange click sound (only I can feel/hear it) when I turn my neck to left side . No sound when I turn to right side. no pain or discomfort.

some one told me that I could have some serious arthritis going on.
I am very concerned and depressed. at this age, with a yound 3 year old at home I can't afford to be in pain.

with great difficulty I got an appointment with spine speacilist for next thrusday. but I want to gather your opinioin on this.

I went thru a severe cold & sore throat for 3 weeks and I just recovered. I am not sure if they are related.

Difficult to say without evaluation.  

Arthritis, a neck sprain, or other cervical disk problem can all be considered.  

An MRI would be the recommended test.  This can be considered in conjunction with an orthopedic, or neurosurgical, consult.  

Treatment can range from conservative measures (such as physical therapy) to surgery (for more severe cases).

These options can be discussed with your personal physician.

I have had that problem for many years. I turn my head from side to side and I hear a clicking all the time. I never even thought much about it I have inquired about it but no one is ever conserned about it. Let me know what it is if you find out.

My clicking later expanded into pain, then multiple symptoms such as fatigue, muscle weakness, bowel problems, brain fog and concentration difficulties.

After 3 years of disability I was diagnosed with Lyme disease.  Treatment was long but I got my life back.
