Nuckles are going crooked

My boyfriend has been complaining about joint pain, and he showed me how when he relaxes his hands his fingers lay crooked.  He told me that they have been getting worse.  I am concerned, so I am looking for help.  His grandfather died from MS, and was diagnosed shortly into his 30's.  My boyfriend is now 29.  We instal hardwood floors in gymnasiums, so he works hard with his hands.  Maybe it is nothing, but I don't even know what the symptoms to look for are.  Can anyone let me know if this is a concern?  Or what we should look for?  thanks for your time and help.

Because your boyfriend is experiencing joint pain and noticing a change in his joints, I recommend that he see a doctor to have this investigated and tests run.  Regarding MS, joint changes are not usually a symptom of this condition.  However, these symptoms can be associated with arthritis.  Early diagnosis and treatment are key in any case.  Please write back and let us know what you find out.
