Osteoarthritis blood clot possibble?

After several weeks of discomfort in the sole of my foot after surgery, and not finding an answer from my primary doctor, All my primary suggested was inflamation in my foot. It wasnt enough for me so I went to a specialist I already have problems with my doot so I thought it best to go to a specialist.  He took x rays and determined it was Osteoarthritist. The big concern at first was blood clots since it was right after surgery.  I still am concerned about this. Can you still get them?  I presume you can.  I am going for six weeks of therapy for it.  I cant take the medication because of stomach issues.

Should mention, I have a pacemaker for my stomach issues and had the battery replaced. It was under General Anestia same day..
