Pain in calf of left leg

Several years ago wearing spike heels as school secretary I walked hard floors and had trouble with my legs concerned of clots.    In 2003 I herniated my back and most pain was on the left side.   I have been experiencing pain in the calf of my left leg the last 2-3 days as have been going up and down stairs helping in a move.   Recently I have made two trips to ER  with the left leg.    First trip was hurting, numbness and swelling of the left knee and some into the lower leg.   ER  Dr. took one look and said it was a Bakers Cyst and would have to eventually see orthopedic surgeon.   I made the appointment, but prior to appointment I had another attack and went into horrible pain in back of leg.   I decieded it was not safe to drive with such pain so went by ambulance.....ultra sound was taken and showed no clots,  and  left with no answers.    I went to orthopedic the following week and he thought could also be arthritis and small tear.   Had MRI  and went back for followup appointment.    Dr. said no tear and maybe a bit of arthritis but no Baker cyst.    I left the office with the paper they handed me and did not read it until the following day finding MRI showed a small cyst and I did not understand the other medical findings.  
The attacks would only last 2-5 days and completely ok with leaving numbness and night leg cramps which have had since herniated the lower disc.    My question is with all of the above what does this pain in lower leg sound like cause of to you?

I wonder if you might have an auto-immune disease that causes muscle pain or maybe fibromyalgia.  I would suggest you see a rheumatologist.
