Hey Tiredin Tempe.
1. I just read a study on Glucosamine , comparing its effectiveness for pain relief with the effectiveness of Ibuprofen.
After 3 weeks of Glucosamine sulfate supplementation, it became much more effective than Ibuprofen.
1500mg is the recommended dose, once daily for pain relief and to rebuild
joint tissue. No known side-effects
Chondroitin sulfate also has shown to reduce pain, swelling and rebuild joint tissue. 1200mg daily. No known side effects.
Make sure they're from good quality sources.
Another great supplement with excellent anti-inflammatory action is Bromelain -an enzyme from pineapple- 500mg daily. Not indicated when on blood thinners. It's also a very "smart" PH regulator - acid or alkaline!
Avoid vegetable and seed cooking oils like the plague!
Switch to the healthiest and most stable oil available: organic virgin coconut oil. For more info go to the coconut research website
Also avoid arthritis forming foods- fast food, sodas including diet, sugar,
any sweets and breads, white flour, cakes, junk food, chips, candy bars,
alcohol, etc.
Hope this helps.
Cheers!
Niko
