Pain up the sides of my head due to neck arthritis???

I have arthritis in my neck and lower back and was wondering if anyone was having this problem; My neck is stiff all the time and if I try and tilt my neck to one side or the other after a few moments, I have this horrible pain in the temporal portion of my head that get worse if I don't straighten up my head. Does anyone have this problem or know what would cause this and what could be done for it?

Thank you for your reply. I also have arthritis in my back as well and can relate to the arthritis in the neck. I can't turn my head to either side either; I can turn my head very well either, only about 3 inches to either side and I know what you are talking about using the car mirrors! LOLs!! Again, thank you for the reply!

I have Arthritis through my whole body, and I do have it in my neck to the point that I can not turn my head properly when I am driving to look to either side.  I just depend on my side view mirrors.  Low back pain or any pain can radiate to other parts of your body.
It can put pressure on other areas to cause pain.  I do get pain in the temporal area also.
If it continues you should see a doctor just to check things out and be sure its your Arthritis.  If your back is out of alignment, it will cause everything else to hurt.
