Palindromic rheumatism

For 4 months I have been getting pulsating pains all over my body, mainly ankles, toes, fingers, spine-though I get pains in my muscles at times too. The pains last a few minutes usually-it just moves around my body-sometimes its stabbing/burning and very deep. At the onset I began having extreme joint cracking. Now for 1 month I have had non stop muscle twitching all over my body. I have had a nerve test, mri, blood work etc.

The first rheum I saw said it sounded like palindromic rhuematism, but note I do not have swelling or redness. Can you offer me feedback, does it sound like this?

I am not an expert, but your symptoms sound like many that are reported here by members with it.  MS had to be ruled out with some of the symptoms I had with RA.  I had an MRI of my brain and all looked well (and now I have proof that I have a brain and it is normal!)  If MS is a concern to you, explain that and ask for an MRI of your brain.  (I made them check several times for Lupus because it is in my family so I understand.)  Please keep us posted as you are on my mind.

Wow-really, muscle spasms are a symptom? I had no clue. The second rhuem (I did not tell her the first rhuem said this) said it could be too much b6. She is running a ton of labs on me. I of course worry of something like MS, though I did have an MRI (spine -its sore near my bra strap now, and head) without contrast and it was fine. Feel like I need one w contrast. I worry as my best friend has had somewhat similiar issues, I urged her to get an MRI and this Thurs they told her they found 10 lesions-pointing to MS, but more testing is needed.

Does my symptoms sound like PR? Shooting/pulsation migratory pains, extreme joint cracking and TONS of muscle twitches?

Yes, muscle spasms are a symptom.  I would love to hear what your 2nd opinion doc said.  I do hope you start a treatment plan soon.  These diseases are such a misery.  Please do keep us posted!

Thanks TX, he mentioned maybe  a med, that was 3 months ago...so need to go back, but getting a second opinion today. Would this cause non stop muscle twitches though?

Even though you do not have swelling or redness, it can still be palindromic arthritis.  I think your first rheummy is on to something.  What treatment plan did he prescribe?
