Pulmonary Lung Disease

I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis approximately 2 years ago.  I will start taking the drug Orencia tomorrow.  Within the last two weeks I have also been diagnosed with Pulmonary Lung Disease. What is this and what are my options?  Is this lung disease a result of the RA?  What will be my next step?

Sorry you have to deal with this. You don't mention what kind of pulmonary lung disease you have. It could be chronic bronchitis, asthma, emphysema...
I myself have never heard of RA causing it, but I'm just a lay person and not a doctor.
As to your options - I would need a little more info. First being what type? Each is treated differently. Do you smoke? If you do - you have to quit. I'm a smoker and I know just how difficult that is! I also have COPD and am in the process of quitting AGAIN. Last question - how did they determine you have Lung Disease? What tests did they run? DO you have copies of your reports?

There are many new treatment options for COPD, another name for it, that help improve lung function as well as quality of life.

If you can provide a little more info, I should be able to give you more information.
