I am a 43yr. old, female, 6-7 years ago I stepped on a pile of "junk" in my garage, my knee made a loud POP sound and I waited for the pain to kick in. It never did, it was a little sore... but ok. 5years ago, I was having problems with the same knee, had x-rays and MRI done. Everything was ok, Dr. sent me to a PT he said some muscles that hold my knee cap in place never developed. Did some exercises and everything was ok. 3 years ago I dropped a large glass bottle on my foot. (on the other side) Hurt for a long time, figured I broke it. I waited a while it came and went, but never got better. So I go to the Dr. he x ray ed it, told me it was NOT broken, I had arthritis in the big toe joint. During this winter we have had a lot of snow, so when I felt tired and sore all over I thought it was from the shoveling or the flu. When the snow finally stopped and I was still sore and my knee was hurting going up the stairs, I knew it was time to see the Dr. again. He x ray ed it and said it showed some signs of change of the arthritis. I was never told I had it in my knee, only my toe. He did a blood test and I called to get the results. She told me it was 1 over 40. Now all the stuff I have seen on line give 1 number not 2. I need a new dr. I am very unhappy with this one. Any thoughts? Help!
