A herniated disc can cause a lot of problems.  Have they talked about trying injections or surgery?  Have they investigated any other possible causes or run lab work?  Have you gotten a second opinion?

I had a ct mylogram as well as the mri both were done with no pressure on my spine I was on vicodin 4-6 hours as needed now was taken off  that. it is a work related issue so second opinions are hard to come by i had an ime i don`t need to tell how that went I`m sure this is on going since the beginning of january. I live 30 miles from the closest town to dr in the only car i own is a manual which only makes the pain worse but am being told I have to drive and work 4 hour days I find that rather impossible as basic household chores just about flatten me and leave me sleeping maybe 3-4 hours a night . I`m getting very confused and frustrated as it`s been 9 months of going no where and living with pain I had  complete blood work  done in march for a physical with all results normal?

I understand completely about the manual transmission.  I had to switch to automatic on my last car.  It's not as much fun to drive, but this way I can drive.
30 miles is a long way to travel in pain.  Is there anyone who can drive for you?  What kind of doctor are you seeing?  I think you should definitely get a second opinion.  You wrote that this is all work related.  Are you going through workmans comp?  Can you go on short term disability while you get this diagnosed and treated?

unfortunately I am a single 40 yr old and my only child flew the coupe a few weeks back and my family is not what you`d call tight knit. I am seeing a D.O. but he is very very short with me 25 minutes waiting for him 5 minutes with him last time i seen him he actually said it must be a muscle issue (after 9 months?) took me off pain meds told me to go to pt and back to work 4 hours a day last time I was in pt or at work I was getting debilitating 2 day migraines that resulted in vomiting, not something I really want to endure again the mylogram was enough reminder of them. I am currantly waiting for a court hearing just for back pay I haven`t recieved any loss of wages from the start actually had to apply for assistance    very frustrating situation and i have to have a referral to go to anyone else

Ugh.  Bless your heart!  Talk to your insurance company and find out if there is any way to get a second opinion or a new doc to look at you without a referral.  I bet there is a way.  Hang in there and do the best you can.
