Rheumatoid Arthritis and Shortness of Breath

I have been living with RA since I was a teenager (JRA). I am severely allergic to aspirin, so I have been unable to take many of the typical medications. I have been on varying amounts of prednisone over the years. I am 53 years old and have been having shoulder pain for about 10 years. Lately I have been having a lot of shortness of breath - started really being apparent about 1 year ago. Crackles in lungs at times, so seeing my rheumatologist and my primary, then got sent to some pulmonary specialists. I had some preliminary breathing tests done, and then a CT scan last week. I got the results yesterday and now am waiting for the answers to all my questions. No evidence of interstitial disease (yay!) but some areas of groundglass opacity, numerous enlarged axillary lymph nodes, and a large lucency on my humerus. I want my drs to explain what all this is. The radiologist says that the lymph node enlargements were present on a mammogram done 1 1/2 yrs ago, but his rec is to wait 6 months and look again - in case this is malignancy and not inflammation or infection. I have been on 2 courses of z-pacs over the past 5 months, so if this is infection why hasn't it cleared up? I do not want to wait 6 months if this has already been present for over 1 1/2 yrs. I wonder if the shoulder lucency is necrosis from the long term prednisone. The radiologist's report says this is not clearly seen on this test (CT scan), so do I need some x-rays or an MRI of the shoulder to see this more clearly. Could it be bone lesion or necrosis, or just erosion? No wonder I have been in pain, and PT has not been helpful!

I guess I am writing just to see if anyone else has had issues like these or if anyone has any advice.
