Hi there!

The chondromalacia is in the initial stages and can be managed conservatively with rest, anti-inflammatory medications and physiotherapy, for symptomatic issues; though a cartilage defect is unlikely to heal on its own but it may be atleast partially curable with interventional/ surgical means which is done in severe cases. It would be best to discuss the situation with your treating orthopedician for an appropriate management plan.
Hope this is helpful.

Take care!
