Therapeutic Ultrasound

by jimbo1967, Jul 15, 2008 10:09AM
My doctor has recommended Therapeutic Ultrasound to treat my newly diagnosed arthritis.  I am 41 years old and quite active.  I didn't want to take meds because I often feel side effects.  I have been prescribed a Sonic Relief device and have to treat myself a couple of times a day.  Are there any dangers associated with this device, does anyone have any experience with ultrasound?

This discussion is related to Joint pain, no diagnosis yet.

Hi jimbo and welcome to the forum!  While I have not used one of these myself, I have heard wonderful things about these devices.  From what I understand, as long as you follow the directions and heed the cautions you will be fine.
I would love to hear about your experience with it so please do write back and share.
