Thumb Knuckle Joint suddenly swollen and painful

My Thumb Knuckle Joint suddenly started hurting and soon it was swollen. I cannot move it without any pain.
I'm just 20 years old. No diabetes or unhealthy conditions. What's wrong?
I had a little sore throat 3 days earlier. It was very minor and went away on it's own. Do I have rheumatoid arthritis?

No one can say except for a doctor.  You need to be examined and have blood tests and xrays.
